The Brawl that brought Attitude Back

maxresdefault

I posted this entry in my other blog “16 Germans ¬†Wrestling Blog”, but since I am new to WrestleMemia.com, I figured I’d bring it here for you to read. Let me know what you think in the comment section.

This past Sunday at WWE’s “Battleground” PPV, one of the most if not the most iconic figure in WWF/WWE history “The Phenom” The Undertaker made his return to the squared circle. Undertaker cost Brock Lesnar, the man who ended the infamous WrestleMania streak, the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Seth Rollins. As a lot of us were,

I was skeptical of WWE booking this feud, especially since it has been almost two years since Lesnar broke the streak. I questioned the story behind booking this so late, but after this past Monday Night RAW, I am glad they did! Brock & Undertaker imploded into what I consider the best Slobber Knocker as good ol JR would have called it in quite some time.

Sure, we see brawls from time-to time, but they really haven’t impressed me. But this brawl brought attitude back to the WWE. No, the Attitude Era is not coming back…

By attitude, I mean that feeling we get when we witness something amazing happen. That feeling of adrenaline we get when a wrestler turns heel or face or when someone we didn’t expect returns. I got that feeling when I watched the brawl unfold. The best aspects were the one line from each wrestler that made this feud better and that the brawl continued into the backstage area.

During the brawl, the “entire locker room” a.k.a the guys who need TV time, managed to get Brock & Undertaker out of the ring & towards the back. Brock said “I’m gonna kill you” & Undertaker responded by saying “You’re gonna have too”¬†This part sold me on this feud & their upcoming match at Summer Slam. This will not be about a pin or submission, this will be about making sure you walk about of there and that your opponent does not. These two want to beat the crap out of each other. I cannot wait!

My favorite part of the brawl was when it continued backstage. This made the brawl feel like it was never going to end. I cannot remember the last time I saw a brawl like that.

I love the attitude that this feud makes. It is the in your face, I’m going to kick your ass type attitude, that we rarely see anymore from WWE.

I cannot wait to watch their match at Summer Slam

What’s your thoughts on the Lesnar/Taker rivalry?
